Its been crazy guys, the holidays and all. I have so much fun, much more than imagined and that was exactly how its supposed to be isnt it? The christmas has come and gone and i just wish it wont all end and now we are looking forward to the new year, "oh the new year".
Its gonna be 2009 guys, new year, new resolutions and all but i hear some guys say why make resolutions when they cant be kept, but i say why not? I personally need to stop some old habits and behaviours this new year since am hoping for great stuffs to happen, i would work towards them and i dont expect to be perfecr, afterall am human and entitled to make mistakes every now and then.
my resolutions (or rather what i want to and dont want in 2009) are:
1.I want to be more focused and determined, more than i have ever been.
2. Need to be in a serious honest relationship, the whole of 2008 i spent being alone, gloomy and unhappy, but i wont force it, i would let it come....
3. I havent always been the type that played around, so maybe i would let my hair down a little and have more fun.
4. I need to smile more often, i look often when i bone or wear and unpleasant look.
5. I need to impact something postive into someone's life, maybe people.
6. I need to exercise, i have always procastinated about that one but this time, it must be actualized.
7. Need to be more religious, God help me, how i have been able to survive with the way i go is only but a miracle. Thank you lord!
8. I would never give up. if not for anything i would chase my dreams more this year...
9. I hope to be independent and am working towards that.
10. Above all, i hope to be able to give more than i recieve and to say "Thank you God" more often.

Alex Burke wins X-factor 2008,branded heartless marriage wrecker by woman

Alex Burke,winner of X-factor 2008
Okay, Alex Burke was last night crowned the new winner of X-factor, the singing talent hunt show that has produced mega star like Leona Lewis etall. There seems to be some scandal or would i say rumour trailing her already as there seems to be a young lady on the trail accussing Alex of snatching her husband away from her years ago, and my question is, why wait till now, why now when the girl is chasing her dreams, anyways looks like its too late cos she won already.
ALEX AND BEYONCE'S PERFORMANCE OF "lISTEN" ON X-FACTOR FINALE
By Jennifer Wiley, 14/12/2008
X FACTOR winner Alexandra Burke was last night branded a “ruthless home-wrecker” —by a wife whose husband walked out on her and their daughter to live with the singer.
As 14 million Brits watched Alexandra being crowned the hit show’s new queen, Maggie West told how hubby D’andre fell under the songbird’s spell four years ago.
Maggie, 27, raged: “Alex is not Miss Perfect. She knew D’andre was married. She tore me apart.”
Last week we revealed how scumbag D’andre—nicknamed Junior—was trying to flog a filthy sex video of himself and Alexandra. Now Maggie has told how the rat turned his back on his family when he got together with Alex, then just 16 years old.
Maggie, who lives in North London with their daughter—who was two when this happened—said: “I was left all by myself with a baby to raise while Alex got what she wanted.
She completely changed him. Before Alex, he was a great partner“She completely changed him. Before Alex, he was a great partner, he would cook and was cool and easy- going.
“Once the baby came he was amazing. He was the only one who could put her to sleep. He would be up in the night with bottles, changing nappies.
“But when Alex came into the picture all of that changed, especially after he left. He was a completely different person—totally under her command.”
Maggie’s revelations come after the wife of Alexandra’s only other serious boyfriend Russell Brooks, 29, claimed she had split THEM up.
DISTRAUGHT: Maggie's husband left her and their daughter, two, to be with Alex
Alexandra insists Russell had already left wife Tracie and their three-year-old daughter when they got together.
But Tracie, 33, said: “Alex comes across as a sweet girl but she must have known Russell was married. There’s nothing sweet about that.”
Recently Alexandra spoke of how her own home was torn apart by her dad David’s cheating.
And when Maggie heard judge Simon Cowell say Alexandra made him “proud to be British” she decided enough was enough.
She fumed: “I can understand why Simon Cowell would say that for her talent, but is a husband stealer what you want representing your country?”
Alex met odd-job man D’andre at a talent show in 2004, soon after he joined her mum’s band Soul Explosion on bass while she was one of the singers. Before long he was at Alex’s beck and call.
Maggie said: “He was spending all of his time with the group.
“And when he began getting phone calls and texts in the early hours and I would see Alex’s name flashing, that is when I got suspicious. Suddenly she would call and he would drop everything because ‘the band needed him’.
“It started to feel like there were three people in the relationship.”
Computer worker Maggie insists Alex, who is now rumoured to be in a romance with JLS singer Marvin Humes, 23, always knew D’andre was married.
“After the talent show we met her and were introduced as Junior and his wife Maggie. She knew who I was. We made small talk,” said Maggie.
She later grew suspicious about her husband’s relationship with the teenager but D’andre—who had cheated on her once before—insisted nothing was going on.

Alex with Beyonce on the finale
Maggie said: “I found out later Alex and D’andre had been together since before my daughter’s second birthday.
“It makes sense looking back. We had a birthday party for her in September 2004. D’andre said he couldn’t be there because it was Alex’s sister’s birthday and he needed to be there to perform.
“I asked if they could celebrate the sister’s birthday at our place instead and that was the second time I met Alex. I thought it strange when she didn’t even say hello to me.”
After the party, D’andre and Maggie had a furious bust-up.
“He had plans to go back out with Alex, which I thought was hurtful on our daughter’s birthday. He said, ‘I’m working, what do you want me to do?’ But his behaviour towards me had changed.
"It just felt different and sour. But he would keep saying it was all in my head.”
D’andre stormed out after the row, returning days later to collect his things. In tears, Maggie recalled: “I thought he was at his brother’s.
I knew something was up but couldn’t prove it
“But when he returned for his stuff Alex was in the car outside. She looked up at me. She was texting. I had our baby in my arms in the doorway and I asked him, ‘Why is she in the car?’
"Alex was always with him. She looked up at me, looked away, and carried on texting. I knew there was something going on but couldn’t prove it.”
D’andre told her he was living with his brother when in fact he had moved in with Alexandra’s family.
From then on, he began to cut himself off from his own family.
Maggie said: “At first he would call once a week to ask about our daughter. He would come round for ten minutes and then Alex would be beeping in the car for him to come out. He would say, ‘Oh I can’t leave her out there’.
“It went from him seeing his daughter all the time to him not seeing her for four weeks or more.
“He stopped taking my calls or when he did I would hear Alex in the background calling his name and he would be like, ‘I’ve gotta go’. I was so hurt.
“I felt there would be more respect there because I was the mother of his daughter.”
D’andre still refused to admit he and Alexandra were together. Then Maggie saw them as a couple on TV during her first X Factor appearance in 2005.
She was filmed with D’andre’s family during a “homecoming” after being axed from the show. Maggie said: “I was watching TV with my mum, my sister and my daughter.
“Then when D’andre came on my daughter said, ‘That’s Daddy’. I just started saying, ‘No it isn’t, no it isn’t’ and took her out of the room. I was in shock.
"I felt sick because of the images from the day I had seen Alex in the car and because I couldn’t believe I had let someone so young do that to me.
“We had mutual friends who had tried to warn me they were together, but I would take D’andre’s word for it, as I still loved him.”
Because of what happened, Maggie has hardly watched this series of X Factor, but has been sickened by some of the publicity about Alexandra.
“I read one article about her dad cheating on her mum and I was shocked that Alex would talk about it. I just felt like our faces were being rubbed in it because she had done the same to us.
"It obviously affected her, so why would you then do it to someone else?”
D’andre, who has tried to get back into his daughter’s life since splitting with Alexandra early last year, this week confirmed Maggie’s account saying: “It’s all true.”
He and Maggie are in the process of getting a divorce.
An X Factor insider said: “Alexandra dated D’andre West in the past, but she has put that all behind her now. Russell Brooks got together with her after he had split with Tracie.
“All Alex wants to do now is concentrate on X Factor.”

Here is a brief summary of the movie by Joy Bewaji
Be warned: not all pretty girls have lipsticks in their handbags, some of them carry guns! 30 Days is a terrific thriller set in modern-day Nigeria. Sexy rebels are unleashing a spree of violence, eliminating every politician, with a history of corruption, out of the system. The film reeks of pervasive vengeance and un-conformist tendencies, which culminates into a richly contrasting pool of the league of rebels who now see themselves as the last bastion in a morally decrepit society.

For Genevieve Nnaji (Chinora Onu), the brutal assassination of her father, unveils a hardened part of her that sends her, with immense thrill, on a deadly path to retribution. Nkiru Alinta’s (Rahila Kano) disgust for her father’s unscrupulous and ostentatious lifestyle leads her into a more adventurous albeit daring course to social rebirth in a bid to prove her abhorrence for ‘unholy’ wealth. To unravel the mystery behind the killings are Dupe Ajayi (Joke Silva) and Inspector Sobowale (Segun Arinze), with a handful of pressmen who cannot wait to get to the root of the bizaare killings. All the cast play excellently well, even minor casts manage to steal scenes once in a while. It’s certainly a thrill to see Genevieve come alive in this film. Her tinsel charm and unabashed sex appeal makes us want to grab our men for safety! Her sex role with US based Chet who plays Kene Alumona, is as steaming and exciting as our deepest desires would take us.

30 Days reveals a shade in Segun Arinze (inspector Sobowale) which Nollywood lovers would be pleased to experience , away from the age-long villainous stereotype. Najite Dede’s performance is excellent. As a killer she is tough, dangerous, and frighteningly convincing. 30 Days is a film bristling with lethal gusto. It shocks, grips, and entertains; all elements which make for exciting viewing. In the heat of the tension, passion, and suspense is the unsuspecting mastermind who only the clairvoyant will begin to suspect until events unfold in the course of the movie. A timely piece, especially as the Nigerian government tackles corruption and abuse of office by public officers. It pays special attention to sound, lighting and other technical qualities. 30 Days features Nollywood stars like: Genevieve Nnaji, Joke Silva, Segun Arinze, Nobert Young, Najite Dede, Ekwi Onwumene, Kalu Ikeagwu, Gbenga Richards, and a host of others.
30 Days is much more than politics, it is deceit, love, sex, religion and violence. All the ingredients that make up an interesting storyline.” Apart from its brilliance in editing, sound, and other technical details, 30 Days is a star-studded movie, with an engaging story-line. The picture is so crisp and clear you’d totally agree if you were told it was shot on 35mm. “We shot entirely on DV,” she corrects. But emphasis were placed on lighting and sound quality. “We brought a DOP from Hollywood,” she states proudly, “His name is Cricket Peters and he specializes on lightning. We also brought in a sound recorder. We used professional sound designers and a sound mixer.” The most intriguing role in the movie is played by US based Nigerian, Chet Bashiru Anekwe. He takes a 30-day trip to his fatherland and falls for this seemingly quiet but pretty Chinora Onu (Genevieve Nnaji) who unveils a treacherous, vengeful, murderous, and fascinating world to him. Chet is a trained actor, ruggedly handsome, and could match every sex pore Genevieve brings on! “He was prepared for the role down to every wink, and that is something you never forget as a director,” Mildred exclaims. For all the actors, 30 Days takes them one notch higher in their career.

The film simply makes a complete star out of every cast! “30 Days gives us the opportunity to look at the various aspects of Nigerian life- religion, corruption, love, sex, politics, and violence.” For daring to thread through a path, which most people would gladly ignore, Mildred Okwo gets two thumbs up. And for an intricate movie well-written, well-crafted, well-acted and fantastically directed, she gets five thumbs way up!
