Big Brother Africa 3 gets hot with Lucilles exit!

Lucille left the BBA3 house yesterday even though i wanted her out cos it seemed like it was a tussle between her and Uti, but it seemed more hard seeing the mood that ensued after her name was called as the evictee, is it Uti's short drama, Mimi's tears or the moodiness of the housemates, or Munya's pacing up and down, it was hilarious. I havent really blogged about the show and i apologize cos i seem to think of blogging of other stuffs than BBA, though find myself watching most times.
People say this years show is a flop but how would i know that when i am such an addict, in fact i am obsessed, as long as its Big brother, then am on it like white on rice. Nominations is tonite and i look forward to it, i suspect TK would be nominated again and as usual he would swap himself with someone else since he is head of house again but as soon as someone else has that title, its good bye to TK cos the housemates would nominate it cos he has been indispensable and the angry viewers who have been so waiting would so kick him off. Mimi is also a goner if she comes up for nomination. The show is picking up, cos it started slow and stuff (typical of BB shows though).

Lucille hears her name

Lucille says her goodbyes

Munya is a cool dude but was almost loosing his edge with the whole Lucille love tango, i hope he does get better now that Lucille is out of the house. It was so funny reading a comment on the strap line which said "Rico, how come every woman you touch get evicted"....pretty true. First was Latoya who shifted from Ugandan's Morris who she thought came across as violent. Secondly was Lucille who was giving him more attention and spending more time with him which didnt go down well with Munya..and if Mimi gets nominated, its obvious she would be leaving(Mimi also spends time with Ricco these days and she thinks people are having wrong ideas that they are dating)...very funny, eh?

Hazel and Thami seem to be the only confirmed couple in the house as every potential couple bond had been broken previously by eviction (latoya/morris/Ricco, Lucille/Munya/Ricco/Uti),i really dont know how strong they feel about each other but lets see as the show moves on. Tawana seems like one complicated woman, i just dont understand what kind of person she is, this minute she is down to earth, patronizing and the next she is venting her anger on someone, she even gave Tk a blow job once and is even offering Munya a shag, can u beat that? Pity most of the guys find her unattractive.

Anyways, lucille is out now, first was Latoya, now Lucille, who goes next? Nomination determines, i wont miss the show tonight not even for all the tea in china.

The Jim Iyke Exclusive!

Hello guys i bring you another exclusive interview with actor Jim Iyke in The sun Newspaper (sunday edition). This dude just seems to be enjoying controversy as he seems to trail them so effortlessly. Anyways i would save you guys all my musings and here we go....

N-a-k-e-d l-o-v-e
Dared by girlfriend, Jim Iyke bares all in public
•Jets out for duet with Faze

It is not only in movies that Nigerian actors pull stunts. Sometimes, they pull them in really life especially when the issue of love is concern.

Jim Iyke recently proved that to be true when he walked stark naked in the lobby of a five-star hotel in broad daylight just to prove to his Cuban-Jamaican American girlfriend as he usually refers to her that he loves her and he would do anything reasonable and unreasonable to show how much he loves her.

His girlfriend, who has a thing or two to do with running an agency that supplies topnotch beauties for video of hip hop stars in America, underestimated Jim’s love and dared him to walk naked in broad daylight to prove the undying love he has always been professing in one of the European countries they had both gone for holiday.

A very impeccable source, who is close to the UNIPORT graduate, told Showbiz Now that the actor gave the request some thought and after a while sneaked out on his girlfriend and took off to the lobby downstairs via the lift. It was while in the lift that he undressed and stepped out naked as soon as the lift hit the ground floor. His plan was to call his babe as soon as he hit the floor.

But for the intervention of the eagle-eyed security operatives of the five-star hotel who had seen the actor undressing in the lift and deem his action offensive, the ‘birthday suit’ of our dear Jim would have been for public display. The security operatives laid siege on the lift as soon as the door swung open and covered the black dude with a blanket so as not to offend their esteemed customers.
They decided to take him to the police station after discovering that he was mentally stable, for trying to offend the sensibilities of other hotel users.

Despite facing an impending state sanction, Jim still managed to play his chronic lover boy by making a request on the police who had been called to the scene that his lover be alerted so that she would know he was about to be crucified as it were for her.
It was a teary-eyed and awe-struck lover girl that came to the scene after being informed of what happened. The police later got explanation from the lover girl that Jim got involved in the shameful drama to prove his undying love for her.

Not swayed by the love angle introduced to the scenario, the policemen took Jim to the station and it took the intervention and guarantee of a lawyer that Jim would not constitute a nuisance to the public anymore before he was allowed to go home.
On getting back to the hotel, he checked out of the hotel with his lover and headed straight for the airport where the two love birds returned to the United States.

Jim confirmed the story when we ran into him shortly before he traveled to America, and reiterated the fact that he has finally found love. But he declined to mention the name of the country in order not to affect his future business dealings. He went as far as saying “as a man, I would stand up for my girl and defend her if need be.” Remember he confessed to ‘whipping the ass of a Lagos based radio DJ for harassing his girlfriend who was in Nigeria recently in a club’ in an interview with a soft-sell magazine not too long ago.

For daring to pull a stunt with a situation that almost led him to jail, who says our actors don’t have location hangover?
Meanwhile, the actor who is presently out of the country, is planning a duet with hip hop artiste, Faze of the Kolomental fame. The plan to hit the studio was in top gear before he traveled. He, however, promised to be around for Faze album release, which is scheduled for sometimes later this month

Did they just say he is doing a duet with faze? Thought i had watched an interview with him on tv where he said there is nothing like music for him cos he has a terrible voice, he even said that again in a couple of other interviews, is he now eating his word?

This thing called life!

This thing called life...when i think of it, it scares me, thrills me, fascinates me but yet its an unsolvable puzzle. Everyone who knows me know that i am passionate about whatever i decide to do, i give it my all, my best shots, i dont believe in half measures, its either i love it or i dont. I am passionate about doing positive things, am creaitive, am laid back, am bold, am shy, am intelligent, am soft spoken, am wierd, am exciting, am good, i could be difficult, me like every specie of a being is as complicated as it could get. I lost an uncle early this year, january 29 to be precise. He was just 39 years, just starting life, vibrant, got married two years before, had two kids, the first two years and the other about few months old. I was shocked to my bone marror, i cried, everybody cried, his wife was shattered, she had lost a friend, a soul mate, a father, a husband, just barely two years before they just exchanged vows and started a family.

I couldnt understand it, all activities for that day paused as i dashed home and saw his wife in our house, she was down and her baby was crying cos she couldnt make anything out of the breast milk (the mother has cried her eyes out so the breast is dry)....i remember rushing to a corner and crying..i cried cos i felt this was cruel, these kids are just little and didnt even know what was going on. that was one moment i dont ever want to witness in my life ever, it was terrible. That started a new dawn for the widow, things were hard and she needed a job since her helper and supporter was gone, the little dashes people were giving her would definitely stop at some point and she would need something to fall back on, she cried on those that could help her and my dad promised to help out, he took her cv and i was happy and hopeful...i just wanted her to experience something new like some sort of consolation.

Few weeks back, my dad was complaining that he told the woman(widow) of a job appplication at some place and she needed to go for the written interview..he hadnt heard from her after the interview and he felt she should have at least given him the feed back whether good or bad. Then came a week ago, i got home and saw my mum screaming, wailing and crying....what happened and i was told that my late uncle's few month old daughter is dead...i blinked but yet it was true, she had died and we later found out she was ill for days and the mother didnt say a word to her husbands family...did i also say that she had moved out of her husband's house barely two months after his death despite pleas from my mum and some other family members..(i really dont knw how it feels being a widow so cant blame her choice)....my mum also said she had been begging her to bring the kids to spend the holiday with her but she would dribble her and give flimsy excuses, now the child was dead and the family plotted to collect the other child (2years old boy) from her. They finally did, she had no choice and she lost. She lost her husband, her child died, now the only one left has been taken from her cos she was careless..i heard when the child was ill, they only took her to the church for prayers and when it was getting outa hand, she was then rushed to the clinic. i pity the fact that her only child has been taken from her but what can i do, am just an observer in all this and it hurts. Life is cruel, you cant explain or decode it. I have tried talking to my mum to forgive this sister in law of hers but she is adamant and what can i do..its a family affair and it hurts more when i see this little boy playing around ignorant of what is going on. He even calls my mum mummy, so soon? Am sure he misses his mother and i was told he asked about her, he is little but i dont think this is the best way for him to grow up..infact am tensed and just speechless, dunno what to say or do, not that i matter anyways...this thing called life...

Blind Fold, the movie

MOVIE TITLE: BLIND FOLD
PRODUCED BY: OJIOFOR EZEANYACHE (OJ PRODUCTIONS)
DIRECTED BY: ADIM WILLIAMS
STARS: OMOTOLA JALADE, YEMI BLAQ, SEGUN ARINZE, FRED AMATA, OBY EDOZIEN
Its the story of Bibi (Omotola Jalade Ekeinde) and her child hood friend whom she lost contact with and by chance was able to meet much later. She is in love with him but hopes that he knows but to her rude shock, he starts dating her room mate even though she had confided in her about her interest in him. Disappointed and pained, she tries to put the pieces of her life together and move on but she is in for much more.

This movie started off promising, it did look like something that would be worth watching afterall but the writer just ruined what could have been a good movie. I did like the beginning and Omot is such a good actress but like many nollywood actresses, they need a good director sometimes to ward them off the "Over do" lane. I had a bit of problems with the execution of this movie, the power bike rides, the whole campus thingy, the tom-boyish Bibi, i thought it could have been well executed if attention was paid to details. The plot was weak and story over dragged, nothing new about the concept, a bit over dragged in my opinion.

I wasnt feeling the Ghanian actress Jackie, i think she would probably need the best hands to convince me (but hey its just my bloody opinion so dont shoot me )
The woman who played Bibi's mother didnt try, her acting was flat and she was just struggling. Some of the characters had beautiful lines but they rendered it poorly. The end scene was badly done, the pastor was also not good, he lacked confidence and was just floating. His might have been a small role but whats wrong with getting someone to do it well. Fred Amata seems a bit too old and not suitable for his role, kinda reminds one of Letters to a stranger, Segun Arinze just looked like an agbaya to me in this, he was wasted and could have played a better role, he just didnt hack it off for me
I didnt quite like this movie, to be truthful, it wasnt captivating enough that i had to prepare and take lunch in between. it was over-dragged, same old, same old. No suspense worthsoever, it was pretty predictable and the only actors who impressed me was Omotola and yemi blaq, even Oby Edozien with her small role almost stole the show.

Rating: 3/10 see at your own risk
